        HICKORIES BARBEQUE

BEEF AND CHEESE
      Slow-roasted, sliced beef simmered in
      our homemade BBQ sauce, on a roll
      or croissant.

DEVON CHICKEN BBQ
      Roasted chicken breast with sautéed
      onion and bacon, topped with cheddar.

BOB’S BABY BACK RIBS
      Dry rubbed and simmered to perfection
      in our own homemade sauce until it’s
      just about ready to fall off the bone.


             HOT STUFF

CAPTAIN JOHN’S POT PIE
      Juicy, tender filet mignon with potatoes,
      carrots, and seasoned gravy baked in a
      flaky pie crust. “Captain John,” a local
      chief who loved to share meals with
      the settlers, would savor this dish.

PASTA WITH CHICKEN AND FETA CHEESE
      Grilled fresh chicken with spinach,
      sundried tomatoes and feta cheese,
      dressed with olive oil and garlic
      over penne pasta.

SANTA FE SHRIMP
      Spicy shrimp, cherry tomatoes, butter
      and garlic sauce over penne pasta.


          GRILLED PANINI

PHILLY STEAK AND CHEESE
      A divine mix of sliced roast beef, sautéed
      pepper and onion, and Cooper cheese.

TRACY’S TUNA
      White albacore tuna salad with spinach,
      tomato and cheese, named for Benjamin
      Tracy, Civil War general, Congressional
      Medal of Honor winner and Secretary of
      the Navy.

CHICKEN AND PESTO
      Breast of chicken with spinach, tomato,
      mozzarella and freshly-made basil pesto.

PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM AND VEGGIE
      So good – and good for you, too! Meaty
      portobello mushrooms, spinach, tomato,
      red onion and provolone cheese.


      SIGNATURE SANDWICHES

POPEYE’S TURKEY
      Generous slices of our own roasted
      turkey breast with spinach, tomatoes,
      bacon, red onions and homemade
      Thousand Island on pumpernickel.

HAMMON PINNEY’S HAM AND CHEESE
      Thick, savory slices of baked Virginia
      ham and Cooper cheese, named in honor
      of Hammon Pinney, stationmaster on
      the Underground Railroad. Served on a
      roll with mustard sauce or on a croissant
      with boursin and tomato.

MEDITERRANEAN FOCACCIA
      Spinach, tomatoes, fresh basil and
      marinated feta on basil-parmesan
      focaccia.

VEGGIE CROISSANT
      Spinach, tomatoes, cheddar cheese,
      sprouts, red onions and mushrooms,
      richly garbed with our own vegetable
      cream cheese spread and garlic
      dressing. Turkey optional.

McMASTER’S MELT
      Juicy, hand-carved roast beef with
      melted Monterey Jack, lettuce, tomatoes,
      sprouts, bacon, red onions and
      homemade ranch dressing on
      pumpernickel toast. Hearty enough for
      James McMaster, Owego’s first Colonial
      settler and first official sheriff.

ROBERT’S REUBEN
      Corned beef, sauerkraut and swiss
      cheese with our own Thousand Island
      dressing on pumpernickel toast. Henry
      Robert of Robert's Rules of Order would
      approve.

THE BIG ISLAND BURGER
      Eight ounces of choice ground beef with
      lettuce, bacon, tomato, cheese and
      onion, served on an onion roll. Named
      for nearby Hiawatha Island.

GRILLED SALMON BURGER
      Fresh salmon on an onion roll with
      tarragon caper tarter sauce.

   BUILD YOUR OWN SANDWICH!


Choose from each of the following categories, add your favorite condiments and/or homemade salad dressing, and create your own signature sandwich:
      One bread: white, wheat, rye
      or pumpernickel
      One meat: roast beef, turkey or chicken,
      Virginia ham, bacon, corned beef
      One cheese:Cheddar, Swiss,
      Monterey Jack or Cooper, boursin
      or vegetable cheese spread
      Any veggies: Lettuce, tomato,
      red onion, mushroom, sprouts, spinach,
      sauteed onions or sauerkraut.

               SALADS

TOSSED
      Crisp, fresh greens mixed with your
      favorite vegetables. Add ham or
      turkey and cheese.

SPINACH
      Topped with bacon, hard-boiled eggs,
      mushrooms and “the best” bacon
      dressing. Add gorgonzola cheese,
      walnuts, grilled chicken breast, or all.

CAESAR
      Light and tasty, topped with our
      fresh-grated romano cheese. Add grilled
      chicken, mushrooms and bacon, or all.

TASTE OF THE ORIENT
      Spring mix greens with mandarin
      oranges, Oriental crisps and our
      homemade ginger dressing. Add shrimp
      or beef with our superb Five-Spice
      Dipping Sauce. Or add shrimp, beef
      tenderloin or both, without the sauce.


* Add creamy blue cheese or crumbled bleu
   cheese to any salad.


         SANDWICH WRAPS

CHICKEN SALAD
      Served with lettuce, tomato, bacon and
      red onion in a garlic herb wrap.

CHICKEN CORDON BLEU
      Grilled fresh chicken breast with hot
      ham, melted Swiss, lettuce, tomato and
      dijon mayonnaise in a garlic herb wrap.

SPICY THAI BEEF
      Sliced beef with crispy vegetables and
      a chili pepper, garlic and lime infusion.
